Influence of Fabric, of the Type of Sewed Seams and Count of Sewing Thread on the Seam Resistance on Clothing
Abstract
The influence of the kind of fabric, of the type of sewed seam and count of sewing thread on the seam resistance on clothing is discussed. The results obtained showed that seam resistance depends on the kind of fabric. The highest seam resistance is achieved on the sewed samples of the fabric A, due to its properties. Sewed seam type 1.01.01/401 assures a higher seam resistance than the seam type 1.01.01/301. The greatest influence on the seam resistance is exerted by the sewing thread; by decrease of the count of the sewing thread its resistance is increased, and this results in the increase of seam resistance.Downloads
