Abstract

One of the most important aspects of clothing comfort for people in wheelchairs is its fit. Due to their sitting position, wheelchair users often have problems with clothing that fits the lower body. The goal of this research is to analyze the cut modifications that can be made to the pants in order to better fit the body in a sitting position. As part of the research, a 3D animation of the female body was made and a tight model of pants was constructed for one of the resulting virtual body positions - the bent position. After the process of converting the 3D construction into 2D cut parts, the 2D cut parts were dimensionally analyzed and the basic construction of the women's pants was modified with regard to the narrow model. The cutting parts of the front and back of the women's trousers have been modified in the area of the seat seam and at knee height. A virtual simulation of the modified model of the pants was also created, in order to check the fit.
