Abstract

The research to be performed was based on the comparison of washing process with water, heavy duty detergent and alternative agent, Biowashball®. Primary washing effect was evaluated by soil removal of natural stains from cotton and PES/cotton fabrics. The impact of washing conditions on the change in shade of pastel coloured fabrics was evaluated as well. Secondary effects were evaluated using a 25 times washed reference cotton fabric. The results obtained confirmed that Biowashball® would be applicable for refreshment of textiles with low soiling degree.
