Abstract

The digital design and print on textile potentials are available on-line to every user. The new technology possibilities allow users to combine words, fonts, illustrations and photographs through on-line web application and create new prints. One of the main characteristics of those web sites is the limitation they put on designers. The functional, tactile and kinetic evaluation of clothing is not possible. The research goal is the evaluation of the visual perception and semantic interpretation of student population in on-line T-shirt design process. The aim of the paper is to help designers and broader their understanding of the possibilities and limitations of digital direct printing technique on textile.
