Abstract

New instrumental methods of analysis of textile restoration and conservation are increasingly used. These less destructive methods of analysis of all found integral parts and substances on works of art in order to determine their composition and origin provides the starting point for conservators and restorers in selection of an adequate and correct procedure in art-conservation terms. This paper will present new, especially designed instrumental methods of analysis and individual examples of their use to conserve world's historical and cultural heritage.
