Abstract

The Croatian women‘s folk costume of Kraljeva Sutjeska is in active use even today, and through its division into rural and urban folk costumes characteristic for all towns of Central Bosnia, represents a unique document of traditional attire and a material trace of the rich cultural milieu. Individual elements of rural and urban folk costume, which have been maintained in the function of formal clothes to date, are presented. Two anti-fashion garment forms are the characteristic of the Croats in Bosnia, and at the same time they indicate social class affiliation.
