Waste Water Treatment in the Textile Industry on the Example of the Hosiery Mill JADRAN, Zagreb
Abstract
Waste water treatment is important in all areas, and so in the textile industry being a large water consumer and pollutant. For waste water treatment various procedures are used with more or less success, whereby water recycling from waste water is less often involved, and waste water purification more frequently before discharging into the sewerage. The paper gives a review of waste water treatment on the example of the hosiery mill JADRAN, where membrane separation system is used, i.e. reverse osmosis water purification system as the finest separation method. The use of such a method is ecologically and economically justifiable. This stage in the hosiery mill JADRAN involves cost effectiveness, whereas at the second stage a complete solution of waste water purification using the so called closed circle is expected.Downloads
