Abstract

The time norms are determined for the performance of the technological operation of sewing of flat buttonholes on the fronts of men‘s shirts by means of previously determined times using MTM system. The work operation, carried out by one worker at the work place with an automatic sewing machine is analysed. After that, the same operation is carried out also by one worker at the work place with three sewing units. The normal time, necessary for the performance of this technological operation by the application of MTM system, depending on the working means and methods, is determined. The working method with three sewing units at one working place is more rational than the method at the working place with one sewing machine, because by the application of a sewing unit the daily output is increased 2.45 times.
